We are inviting Canines 4 Kindness to kick off Mental Health Awareness Month. Canines 4 Kindness is a program in which Jeff brings dogs (Rickie and Bobbie) to schools and talks to students about compassion, empathy, kindness, tolerance, and more. Kindness, compassion, tolerance and empathy are traits that we need to nurture in young people. The positive reinforcement training methods, the human animal bond, and the incredible behaviors they witness from Rickie & Bobbie bring this to life. Students are encouraged to ask questions, share stories and ideally practice more kindness in their lives. Every living being, both two-legged and four legged, has a story to tell. We need to be open to listening, and not be constrained by our prejudices.
